KDD Startup Studio was founded in 2025 in Gainesville, Florida to help founders, especially student founders, turn raw ideas into scalable companies. It started by focusing on University of Florida students and was built by experienced entrepreneurs with track records of building companies from scratch, later joined by people with venture capital backgrounds and founders who've scaled startups across multiple industries worldwide.

Today the studio works with more than ten student startups at different stages, some raising seed rounds and others further along, with most having built and launched their products. The team continues to grow, and the studio also partners with existing startups outside its own portfolio. Current startups span AI, deep tech, B2B, fashion, cosmetics, ride hailing, and marketplaces for sports fans, among others. The goal is to bring the same entrepreneurial momentum to Florida that exists in other states, creating more opportunities and jobs for students.

Today the studio focuses on:

• Providing Hands-On training to the new entrepreneurs

• Building startups that adapt to market changes

• Guiding students through the fundraising process

• Owning legal, admin, marketing, and tech execution

• Providing an incubation space for hands-on building
